Adding a dog, subtracting a car.
So, last week was a busy one. On Wednesday, Will had an interview with this company for a Senior Product Manager position. He left early, getting there before 7:00a and parking the car under the viaduct near King St. His interview was over at about noon and when he came out to go home, he couldn’t find the car. After calling the city and Lincoln Towing to make sure it hadn’t been ticketed and towed (it hadn’t), I picked him up in Pioneer Square and we went to the police station to file a stolen car report. Our nice little Honda Accord is now who-knows-where. It really makes me sad. 🙁 It was such a nice car, all paid for and with lots of wear left because Will took such good care of it. Waaaaaaah!
The good news, though, is that the next day he was offered the position for which he interviewed, and…we finally got our little Weimaraner! I’ve been wanting one of these dogs for the past five years or so, ever since I first saw them at Greenlake while rollerblading. He’s a splendid little fellow named Oslo, eight weeks old and already housebroken (thanks to our über-wonderful breeder, Stephanie). We’re still working on the crate training, though. He doesn’t like being locked in his crate so much and we have to lure him in with a spoonful of Haagendazs frozen yogurt. He loves to be around us at all times. Weimies are definitely little Velcro dogs, just like they say, but I love it. He’s our snuggly little companion.
