This is kind of funny. I’ve been anonymously quoted in the online Yale alumni magazine. It was from a comment I posted on Design Observer:

One critic suggested it smelled more of fine art than “design as a practical, problem-solving discipline.”

It was taken out of context, though. They make it sound like I’m talking only about the exhibit, the design of which I actually really liked. I was speaking of the graduate level work I’ve seen in general, as a whole. I maintain my stance that most of it is overly self-indulgent and inherently meaningless.
