NPR Soundclips.

Olympus

I love Soundclips, a great segment on NPR. It’s like sound snapshots, which I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. Is there really an audible equivalent to a snapshot? Perhaps, but there won’t be as much identifiable information therein because sound is so much more a product of time than is the still image.

Or is it? Something to ponder….

Anyway, I just bought this handy dandy little Olympus recorder to record my own soundclips. It’s light as a whisper and tiny. Not much bigger than a pack of gum.
