Technology + Design making a difference.

Eyes on Darfur

More about the genocide in Darfur, as promised. I just came across this website by Amnesty International. An incredibly powerful use of design and visual communication to inform people of what goes on outside our comfortable, capitalistic bubble. And what they can do to make a difference.

Amnesty International has offices in DC. Maybe I’ll try to get a job there. I’ve been talking to a lot of people about my pending move to the Capitol and about 90% of them have just raved about what a great city DC is. So, I’m really looking forward to moving there. That and having Will’s help with the dogs/yard/house again. It’s only been a month and already I’m exhausted from being a single parent to two Weimaraners!

p.s. I wonder how this sort of big brother technology would have affected the events of WWII? Interesting to thinking what Hitler might have refrained from doing had he known the whole world was watching. Food for thought. Crunch on that for a while….
