The O'Shea Building.

O'Shea Building

I went on an architecture tour of downtown Seattle a few weeks ago. In an effort to learn more about my city’s history, I’m trying to pay attention to the names and stories of buildings downtown that I really like. Take the O’Shea Building, for example. Built in 1914, it’s located in the heart of Seattle at Fifth and Pine. Seattle’s Gensler office is on the third floor. I really like working there; it’s a great space. Beautiful light from the tall windows. It’s dangerous, though. The Gap is just downstairs and it takes me less than five minutes to walk to the Nordstrom women’s shoe section. Trouble.
