Vanilla Birthday Cake.

Lipgloss

So, today is my birthday. For my birthday, I bought myself this lipgloss at Sephora, even though I frickin’ HATE going into Sephora. That store is nasty.

But the lipgloss? IS IT TASTY! It will only complement the Pillsbury Moist Supreme Classic White Premium Cake Mix and Pillsbury Creamy Supreme Vanilla Frosting that I am going to whip up into a birthday cake for myself this afternoon. For while I could have insisted upon an overpriced cake from some great bakery in DC that I haven’t discovered yet, I am happy to take the cheap, trashy route. Because honestly, sometimes I really like this kind of over-processed, industrialized food. Seriously. Whole Foods can only offer so much, you know?

Besides, Will took me out to a fantastic, very expensive dinner at a place called Nora in DuPont Circle. We ate one of the best meals of our lives. We laughed. We talked. We drank. We got a little bit louder. We laughed and drank some more. Brandy. Grappa. Wine. We acted like 20-somethings. Life is good. Joyeux Anniversaire.
