Who designed that high chair?

Who designed that high chair?

In its most recent iteration, the New York Times Sunday Magazine (one of my favorite publications) has a column titled “Who made that ______?” (insert common yet interesting object here). The Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair would be a good candidate for this column. What is it about Scandinavians and design? Stokke (Stock-eh) is a furniture company in Norway focused on design for children. In this case, good design + chairs + food = enhanced child development. Bria’s green Tripp Trapp arrives tomorrow.

Our vision “In the best interest of the child”, is the cornerstone of our product innovation, development, and production. Each Stokke product is developed to stimulate the child’s ongoing development through their ability to allow the bond between parent and child to grow through strong visual contact and interaction. We believe in creating unique, functional and long‐lasting products, attractively designed with a wide variety of accessories to provide, support, and promote wellbeing for both parent and child.

Good design enhances child development.
